Idrija Lace School
Idrija Lace – Half Stitch
This book is a sequel to the popular “Idrija – Narrow Stitch & Double Stitch” and focuses on the half stitch, often used in combination with tape lace techniques in traditional Idrija lace.
Following an introductory section explaining half stitch techniques, the remainder of the book presents a series of carefully designed projects aimed at developing a solid understanding of this technique. A working knowledge of narrow stitch techniques is assumed.
The exercises and patterns were created by Ms. Maja Svetlik, a pattern designer at the Idrija Lace School, with the support of the school staff.
